To take ironwangs assessment one step further, if a TLG anode lithium cell was compared to an alkaline cell that had the same cradle to gate outcome they would have the same overall life cycle outcome.
This is clearly not true as in practice sealed alkaline cells are not recharged. The lithium cell would be far superior as it would be used hundreds if not thousands of times.
