    I heard the other day that Hot Rolled prices in the US had gone above $US1,000/t, if that is true, beware of a big price correction. It's getting a bit like the period before the GFC where prices went out of control.

    Don't think BSL would be interested in Infrabuild production facilities as the products are fairly basic ( Beam, Reo, bars, rails etc ) compared to the value added product range of BSL. They might be profitable at the moment with the increased infrastructure spend however In the bad times it would drag BSL down. BSL has already got it's own distribution network and I don't think the regulators would allow them to increase their market share by taking over IBS distribution. I suppose the Iron Ore mines would be a valuable asset at current prices.

    It would have been nice for the banks/Government to have helped out Arrium rather selling off to Gupta which would have been in the Nations ( and mine) best interest. IMO
