Flat rolled prices continue to surge to levels that look to be sustainable through to end of 2021 at the least. I hear that plate is incredibly short and BSL have full order books for near years to support infrastructure projects...yet their pricing is some $200 per tonne cheaper than any imports. Why are they not taking advantage of a sustained price run up? Again Colorbond an increase of only 3.8% vs 40% plus for all other items.
Perhaps no profit upgrade as they are not taking advantage of the market conditions which is bewildering....
