Yep this is somewhat the ridiculous state. Colorbond has a price increase of circa 8% come Feb 2022, but until then this has resulted in other coated products such as galvanised and zincalume to be at or near colorbond prices. EBIT on Colorbond was near $1,000p/tn wasnt? A contact tells me that their efforts to maintain the colorbond price has likely cost them $400m upside opportunity. International prices showing no signs of reducing, the opposite if anything and any decrease in the iron ore price due to Chinese production reduction will only increase the spread for steel mills. Once in a lifetime stuff....
