One comment re deterioration of porosity/permeabilty with burial of reservoir rock....compaction is one factor but you also have diagenetic factors such as the deposition of secondary quartz around existing quartz clasts in a quartzose sedimentary rock which can result in a reduction in pore space and permeability.
The sidewall cores from this well would be interesting to look at and compare with surface samples from the same formation.
