The Prime Minister was even talking about this today, Australian business going into hibernation and said that some landlords and banks will have to adjust and make sacrifices for the common good just as those retailers, SMBs and the army of newly unemployed have.
The details are being worked out but to me the writing is on the wall, many effected retailers will receive relief from their rents over this period, whether it be by big landlords like Scentre Group and others playing ball or being forced into it by government regulation.
PMV is ahead of the curve on this one and good on them.
