I think it's a strong mover by PMV.
Why should retailers have to continue paying rent when they are barred by government regulations from opening and doing business.
Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures.
I wouldn't be surprised to see other retailers jump on the bandwagon and demand the same thing. Either they don't pay rent till they're are allowed to reopen again or the government pays the rent for them.
Everything should be on the table and open for negotiation. Some landlords might have to feel some temporary pain just as everyone else has to.
