WWI has stated they have received enquiries from multiple parties regarding funding WBP in multiple quarterly announcements since 2021. IDC expression of interest was announced in 2023.
I personally would infer from these announcements that WWI have spoken to more than just IDC and this SA bank since 2021, but hey - maybe you're right and WWI has truly put the house on this single bet.
