Yes interesting point about ASX200. It should have a market cap close to a billion dollars after today but only about 35% of the shares(CDIs) are listed on the ASX. The heavy turnover days here usually comprise a large number of shares bought on the Canadian exchange for an Australian client and then recorded on the ASX as a transaction. Don't really know if the turnover currently is strong enough to qualify - a couple of Australian institutions that were substantial shareholders sold out last year. There are now only two substantial shareholders, Van Eck with 6% and Aust Super with 5%. Share register seems wide open to a takeover bid.
