I've re-read this presentation a couple of times now and reviewed it vs the Relinquishment Report. Few notes that I've captured are below:

    1. Starting with a 8-diamond hole program conducted in 2018:
"This program identified two areas of interest for significant mineralisation: the strike projection of the existing Goornong South corridor as well as the newly interpreted ‘Goornong East’ corridor. The parallels between the Goornong system and the Fosterville system include regional anticline and syncline pairs, and offset by cross-cutting faults hosting the anomalous gold mineralisation"

    2. Kirkland Lake was onto it and commenced testing the above idea with first (and last) diamond hole, GSDD096, during 2019 campaign, quote:
"Four holes in total were planned, on sections incrementally stepping 1km along strike, but were unable to be completed due to time constraints imposed by the relinquishment of EL3539. The hole intersected multiple zones of mineralization associated with west dipping faults and felsic dyke contained in an offset anticline hinge within the targeted Goornong South corridor."

Slide 11 of this presentation really tells the full story, here it is:

I'm gob smacked that other than GSDD081 and GSDD082 (average depth around ~250m) no deep DD holes have been drilled around historic resource in this corridor to test where faults intersect the hinge zone of an anticline. As presentation mentions: "The trick is to find local flexures on or links between otherwise insignificant structures where dilation enhances plumbing to create physically small but very high grade bonanzas. These flexures often occur where structures (i.e faults) refract across fold (i.e anticlines and synclines) hinges".

To say that I'm absolutely frothing in anticipation of an upcoming drilling program is an understatement. I just hope they can hit the sweet spot off the bat, I reckon we deserve it after 2 years of waiting!
