Project
North West Infrastructure (formerly the North West Iron Ore Alliance) is an incorporated joint venture company which represents the interests of its three shareholder companies: Atlas Iron; Brockman Mining; and FerrAus.
North West Infrastructure (NWI) is developing a port facility capable of annually exporting 50 million tonnes of iron ore from the South-West Creek location in the Inner Harbour at Port Hedland, Western Australia. The WA State Government has made this 50 Mtpa allocation to support the development plans of emerging iron ore miners in the Pilbara region.
Last time I spoke to anyone in Port Hedland it had stalled some time ago, not sure where they are at with this project.
It would be at least $500M to build based on Utah Point and I think PH is still short of power for a development like this so they might need ot make their own.
