"I noted with interest that Mr James Brown, the Managing Director of AJM, and a Non-Executive Director of SYA is paraphrased as saying at their recent investor presentation: ‘ it will be difficult for new projects to advance (in Australia), especially greenfield. He reckons 6 producers in Australia is probably the limit.’

Tens of thousands of mass storage grids are planned worldwide atm..we have one here in SA and looking to build more..Victoria the same..we are getting 50k batteries in out homes here ..the old holden site is now partially taken over by Sonnen the German Lithium Battery company...A canadian company is also building a factory in adelaide..they specialise in complex grid connection to turn suburbs in powerplants.
This is adelaide..now we must turn around and think globally..india alone will suck up 40 percent of lithium for cars by 2025 according to recent report..pollution is killing off millions annually..and whose not dying are having life expectancies shortened by years..i think james brown from AJM is wrong..what he should of said was Australia will have 6 producers..because there will be mass takeovers by the big guys of the little guys..voluntarily or aggresively....as happends in all industries....last week GM announced they are firing 15000 people...because they switching over to EV aggressively..my personal opinion will be we wont be able to get it out the ground fast enough or discover new deposits...
If SYA get there sheet together ..they most likely will be absorbed by AJM..which makes sense! Little fish in a big pond can be dangerous!
