Kwale siteworks started in Q2 2012 and produced their first finished products in Dec 2013. Assuming Toliara is a similar scale I see no reason to doubt their preliminary schedule. The only uncertainty in my mind is the quality of existing road access and the amount of work required before main construction can commence. But if this were an issue I’m sure they would do the necessary early works. They did an excellent job on the Kwale design and construction, and I see no reason why they won’t do the same on Toliara. Engineering colleagues of mine who worked for Ausenco on the Kwale design spoke highly of the Base team.
