Tanks Cap. The more I read and thought about it, the more confidant I have become that its safe it to sell. The announcement clearly used the words 'record date for SPP - 11 dec 7.00PM'. That is the exact wording when dividend is recorded so its clear that the SPP will be sent and the amount of shares I can subscribe to is regardless of how many I owned before.
I dont have too much experience but I tend to disagree that this will be a loss for us. If the SP is say $23 by Feb and I get my shares based on 19.50, thats reasonable gains. Ofcourse I am being optimistic. the share price could tank in which case I dont really make any money off this. If this follows suit of WPL, the SP today will be 20.5 at the lowest but we will find out soon enough.
