GMD.... incredible deal for its holders, as basically SBM is just taking a massive haircut on the value of their assets. SBM decisions over the past 3+ years have been very............. bad. But... nothing can be done about that.
I think SBM will receive another offer in the coming weeks - there is my speculation. Would not take much to outbid GMDs 'offer', when... there is no actual premium at all!
On other matters, I had to laugh at this slide.... wow... $400m saved... BUT.... um... they TOTALLY skip over the fact that other assets need to be developed to create this new magical 300k p.a. producer!
NONE of this is paid for.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I suppose I have to give kudos to GMDs team, if they pull off the deal, then well done. Still a huge amount of work to be done to get anywhere near a 300k p.a. producer, but RF is likely to be able to get it over the line through sheer personality.
