Yes, there are different tax rates for many people. This is just a standard calculation you implement because you would not assume that most people buying are looking to receive the full dividend. That is not smart.
I'm not here to argue with people who have emotional investment. Just clarifying that you would never use that figure and maybe people are wondering why the current price is so far from this assumed takeover price.
