Who might want to bid? Small industry, ILU now gun shy of Africa, RIO already has enough Madagascar exposure, Tronox maybe? The obvious candidate is the Chinese, say Lomon Billions for their min sand business and side deal with Chinese RE processor. Trouble with an on-market bid for 100% of BSE is FIRB and maybe Madagascar's dim view on China taking 100% control of world class deposits? A 50:50 JV would have been waived through no problem imo, not sure if FIRB would allow 100% TO given the mood atm.
