It's relevant because this isn't just a straight dividend payout, it's part of a merger, so the ATO treats it differently if you read the section on takeovers and mergers. We haven't received the booklet from BSE yet, and obviously everyone has different tax situations, but hopefully the merger is classified as a scrip for scrip offer.
