Very pleasing that the synergies from BGA's Lion Dairy and Drinks acquisition are said to be achieved. This was claimed at the time to be a three year journey.
From observation, many BGA retail prices in WOW, MTS' IGAs and COl supermarkets have risen in recent weeks: a further example not previously quoted on 'HC' is Yoplait one kilogram yoghurt tub varieties up from A$4.50 to A$5.00. Whether these price rises crimp sales is an unknown, although BGA would have a preparatory idea given we're eight or nine weeks into this period.
Also good that BGA comments retail sales into supermarkets were pleasing. This is what helps BGA in price and shelf space plus promotional negotiations with the supermarket chains: hopefully it gives BGA some leverage.
The debt reduction is timely given the prognosis for interest rates, and welcome.
