I am liking the methodical approach to value creation we are seeing from Duffy.

He is assembling all of the pieces to this jigsaw puzzle in a planned manner with a clear eye on the outcome sought. This announcement today of the Copete discovery just adds to the overall attractiveness of the Bramaderos project in the same manner as the El Palmar MRE plus exploration target really defined the value there.

Both projects are shaping up a very interesting scale opportunities and that surely is being recognised by those in the data room. Whilst we all like to be impatient, this is one of those stories where I feel that patience will prove to be the kingmaker - again, taking a methodical approach to negotiating a potential deal or deals.

Our risk remains an opportunistic bid. A party who decides to pick up the whole package for a song. STM have invested the best part of $90m to get this far (approx. 1.8 cents per share), and you would hate to think that someone comes along and try to pick this up at or around that level (but then again, if they do try it also may ignite a bidding war given the emerging quality and scale of these assets).
