Current drilling has to date only tested two of the known mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the area. Whilst the diamond drilling program did not intercept economic Ni-Cu-PGE sulphide mineralisation, the results are considered to be very significant in that:

 The drilling confirmed that the “right rocks” are in the region – the presence of troctolites, pyroxenites, **bronorites and other mafic rocks are also associated with large scale NiCu-PGE magmatic sulphide ore-bodies like Voisey’s Bay.
 The other interpreted mafic-ultramafic intrusions in the region are likely to have similar lithologies.
 The presence of sulphides, evidence of wall rock contamination and magma mixing (as indicated by magmatic vari-textures) is extremely encouraging as they are key features of other magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE ore systems.
 Similarly, the geochemistry indicates that some magmas are nickel depleted, indicating that sulphide trapping and accumulation is likely to have occurred somewhere in the region.
