Early December SMI results showed only newspapers (-18.2%) declining more than year on year than TV (-13.9%). Radio was -6.2%. Cinema, magazines and digital all essentially flat, while Outdoor grew by 14%.
The perception of TV changed significantly amongst advertisers and agencies in 2023 and I don't think the turnaround will be that simple. Other channels, especially Outdoor, seem to be in a better position to grow in 2024.
