While I don't claim to have a great imagination, I find it difficult to believe that NHC is about to diversify in a material manner away from coal and, if not, then the "transformational opportunity" surely must be the acquisition of a major coal mine. What a coincidence that the Mount Arthur Mine is up for sale and the sale process has been protracted (in which time NHC has raised $200M by issuing convertible notes)!
