I'm just new to this one, having bought into the stock in the last 24 hours. Before doing so I read what was available to me and spoke with management by phone.
I have every reason to believe that the Board still supports their guidance commentary at the AGM. - In short, they expect profit to be down just 10% for the full FY 08/09. That is nothing in the current climate IMO. I pointed out that IMO the SP is suggesting something far worse ahead and it didn't shake their resolve. Indeed, if their position had changed they would be obliged to announce it.
I'm ignoring the takeover banter and I am especially ignoring The Australian.
