Yeah I'd appreciate ya's thoughts on this detail as well. Looks to me like they either had some problems with the lower section, plugged back & are redrilling but not to original depth (because no reservoir found there). Or maybe deliberately pulled up, and are still drilling a deviated new lower section approx. parallel to original well path for coring/testing. It fits with JP's hunch as well. Note the small shaded section ('yet to drill') at bottom which in 1 Oct stopped around the unconformity (dotted black line). In mid-Sept same shaded section showed it extending below unconformity to about 5300 (my estimate).
Or maybe it's just a graphic just for illustration & not intended to be taken too literally!
