The bean counters at hospitals will be feeling the pinch with budgets getting tighter and there will be a push to save bucks across the board with purchasing.
Some surgeons are quoting that Integra is up to 5 times more expensive than BTM. Mostly it appears to be a bit more than double the price.
Any department that uses dermal matrices regularly will surely start to look at those figures and prompt their surgeons to consider the cost advantages when planning their procedures. Especially when it’s become accepted that BTM is at least as good an alternative.
