You say I'm missing the point? Give me a break....the Ford facility was about the cheapest form of debt finance one can imagine for a mining company. If LG was happy to leave it in place then why would the company CHOOSE to repay it?...In case you're interested I previously had a view that more innovative financings might be used and indeed contemplated the issue of repayment of the Ford facility and LG's entry....see my post in February this year...
