i do understand the data and as both a cancer researcher and cancer surgeon myself i am familiar with this area.

i think some of the above posts are factually inaccurate, so just to be clear lets state the facts (not my opinion):

1) there is no data on extended life (known as overall survival) or pancreatic cancer specific survival

2) there is no data on pain score improvements or any quality of life measures: i agree this would be a strong selling point to regulators and patients if it improved pain, but there is no data to suggest it does imrpve pain and a reduction in ct diameter does not necessarily guarantee a reduced pain score

3) only 2/20 have so far been deemed resectable which is no different to gemcitabime alone; yes there are other potential cases but we have to wait for them to be assessed and then to see if the surgery is successful (ie clear margins etc). please dont quote 6/20 as its misleading and remember the company is providing a self promoting spin on results not an objective report of the numbers

4) 18/20 failed to achieve a partial response (volumetric reduction >30%)

5) 16 week data is incredible short term; what we really need is median survival data or as a surrogate at least 6month (26wk) progression data.

so although i lime the technology/ product, i remain unconvinced by the preliminary data and therefore i will wait until some more rigorous data is available before i consder an investment.
