re: Ann: Presentation to ASX Spotlight Confer... i dont' get the causal link in between this round of QE and the price of gold anyway....this round is qe just involves the Fed buying mortgage back securities from the banks to keep home loans low....to me if they stop that ....gold should be uneffected as the bigger issue to me with gold is the US bond market...

The US bond market is at a 240-250 year high.....every day the US is borrowing 45-50 cents of every dollar it spends....and it is funding that through issuing bonds to the FED. the Fed buys 90% of bonds the US government issues. can they stop doing this ....no.....plus what happens when rates go up....bond prices go down and the fed will have to intervene to hold prices high by PUMPING trillions of usd into the system to buy up the bonds they don't already own.....which would sky rocket gold as it would shoot the USD down!
