Agree it certainly will be interesting how this plays out. Pretty sure they can do the share buyback for 1.5 Million shares and still have 90% or more of current shareholder cash remaining for other needs - the cash pile is also growing all the time as cash profits keep flowing in so a tiny BB expense will be quickly replaced anyway. We have seen money get spent on Michelin catered Soirees in Monaco, super exec. remuneration, share grants etc so in certain instances we can see the pursestrings are loosened. Protecting shareholders interests would seem to be at least as worthwhile a cause. Just my opinion. Doing what you clearly announced to the world you would do would seem to me to be a quite important trait to have and is what pretty much every company who announces a share buyback does ie they just go and do it. Either way lots of those 'itty bitty holders' with their 'very tiny little voices' would seem to keep putting their votes together to repeatedly vote against remuneration reports. Please remind me how many strikes there have been? So improving sentiment and supporting shareholders interests would also seem to me to be something that might need a bit more attention. As I have said the company is doing very well with the exception of NOT doing the share buyback which they announced with much fanfare to the world. Just fix this, complete the BB, show willingness to fight against share price manipulation which ASIC data has demonstrated for years, and sentiment will follow.
