I wouldnt look to deep into daily price action. Instos particularly enjoy creating waves to day trade stocks. Hence why stocks very rarely go up in a strait line. Might be a little different for PCL however if 3D is as good good as if not looking better than 2D.
Also remember that its been over 12 months since Total and Shell dicoveries and they are still trying to determine the magnitude of discovery.
Interestingly namcors map (mentioning PCL) looks to suggest there might even be a relationship between Shells and Totals discovery by way of Jonker
