Obviously one section is a tiny fraction of the data, but yes, I would expect with some modelling, the channels (or more importantly reservoir versus non-reservoir) should ba able to be mapped in detail and with pre-stack depth migration a clear picture of the target, +/- the uncertainties, should emerge. The huge advantage of the 3D versus the 2D is that the reflection from each layer 'should' be in the correct position in 3D space, which is not the case with 2D seismic which is like trying to look thoughta frosted, textured glass window to work out if the shape on the far side of the room is a gorilla with a baseball bat or a generous person offering a bag full of cash.
