Your post has given me the opportunity to share some research:
I have toured both old and new sites where MEL are drilling. Thornbill, for example, is near Whiporie about 50kms south of Casino.
But the really exciting new news for me is on p13 of Glenda's presentation in Fremantle where MEL list "20 new prospects and leads". They have a list of 10 in PEL 426 alone; none of this ever been released before. If you look at the internal estimates they're immense! "Coaldale" for example - 20km SW of Whiporie - has an estimated P10 of 2273Bcf!. And Tullymorgan -about the same distance from Whip has 297Bcf.
Tullymorgan is only half an hours drive from Yamba.
I spoke to their Casino office and there was a palpable level of excitement and high morale. I was also told that the gas would transform what is a poor community with high unemployment. They are also snowed under with applying for the easements for the pipeline.
The undertone of excitement can be detected in the confidence of her presenation - something far better than the flat qualified "quite" this and "quite" that monotone of previous presentations.
News from Mackellar's 1 (1793 Bcf est) & 2 (688 Bcf est) are next in line & worth hanging about for. Did you spot in a previous announcement that they had an internal production estimate of 3 million tonnes a year?
To paraphrase Bob Dylan something is about to commence but I don't know what it is - which is where we started.
PS: even my seen-it-all-before cynical broker is getting interested.
