The tin market remains turbulent amid ongoing economic uncertainty, with tin prices following the broader downturn in base metals this week. After a recovery in August, LME three-month price has dropped 7%, closing at US 30,500/t yesterday. The beginning of the Fed's rate-cutting cycle and China's sluggish economy are key focus areas. Heading into a stronger demand season, tin's strong fundamentals should not be overlooked; the feedstock market in China continues to tighten as the impact of the Wa mining ban in Myanmar starts to bite while Indonesian exports remain low compared to last year.Tom Langston - Senior Market Analyst
