They might be planning to detressing the shaft be mining out the crown pillar or so that they dont have to do reverse stoping at the end of mines life cycle.
Alternative, the grades are much better than the outcrop areas and easy revenue can be obtained. I tjlhink the original plan was for open pit mining, but Im sure they have done a lot of analysis before they came to this conclusion.
