The $5,000 restriction could have been due to some ASX rule regarding SPP. I vaguely remember something about - if a shareholder has already participated in the previous SPP and paid (say) $2,500 , then they can buy a max of $2,500 in the next SPP. Therefore, a max of total $5,000 can be offered to one shareholder through multiple SPPs.
I might be wrong, but I am trying to find info regarding the SPP rules.
If anyone else has some pointers (or would like to correct my fading memory), please add.
