I found the patient journey story in the newsletter very interesting.

Two things it highlighted:
The screening process for enrollment of patients is complicated and very involved. That helps explain why it takes so long to ramp up a trial of this nature.

The patients who choose to enroll are doing so without any guarantee they'll be randomised into the Cvac arm, and have to put up with a tremendous amount of additional inconvenience through the process. Thats a heck of a committment given they're already in a fight for their lives. Bloody heros in my opinion.
