You can get ore grade results in air core drilling. You often don't, because it's scout drilling. But this is ignoring the thrust of my argument, which is that the alternative interpretation of these "results" is not a series of isolated steeply dipping primary lodes (however cruddy and low grade they appear to be) but that the whole lot on all sections is an oxide blanket of very low grade material except for one hole where Pursuit logged the rocks as "fresh".

Now, the thing that geologists learn about precious metals (Au, Pt, Pd) in saprolite material is that due to redox changes caused by weathering, precious metals tend to precipitate at interfaces in the regolith, say base of transported cover, base of complete oxidation, and within lower saprolite intervals. Pursuit's cross sections show that in these areas, this holds true.

Faced with a set of data of precious metals assays down hole, and logged regolith domains, geologists drawing cross sections have to make an interpreation based on their knowledge of the rocks, the general principles of regolith hosted mineralisation (as written above) and consider the most reasonable and defensible interpretation amongst the many which present themselves.

In this case, Pursuit is depicting, via these published sections, that they are interpreting strict control of Cu-Au-Pt-Pd via steeply dipping lodes. I would disagree with this interpretation. As you say, it's air core drilling. They are getting buckets of sticky, slimy mafic and ultramafic clays and determining from them that they have primary sulphides in saprock material. By definition, saprock is not fresh. And yes, saprock/fresh interfaces often host pancaked precious metal anomalies that are rootless or displaced.

Finally, nickel isn't significant in saprock ultramafics at 0.1%. Copper of a couple hundred ppm, in lower saprolite (where oxide copper blankets accumulate) is interesting, but not neccessarily diagnostic of economic sulphides. THe Pt-Pd levels here are about what you'd expect for sulphur saturated medium-MgO ultramafics where the Cu-PGE is present as 'cloud sulphides' (IMO) shich shows a fertile system, but not anything important. But, if you consider these could be upgraded 100-500% by accumulation in the saprock interface, maybe that downgrades the fresh rock contents to such low levels it's Bunnings gravel levels.

So, yeah, good luck to all holders.
