If the public believe the value of PNC assets are to be believed then good luck to them. A large proportion of debt portfolios PNC purchase are actually worthless and will never see a cent recovered.

I am not saying they don't make money from their purchases but how these are valued are akin to the old NINJA Loans that were packaged up as AAA Mortgage Backed Securities. In other words there are about 10-20% you will get money back on whilst the other 80-90% good luck!!

One question to ask as well is why did they never replace the Chief Risk Officer who left around June 2018 and the Chief Operating Officer who left in December 2018.

That is what an actuary is for. The company is also run by an industry veteran. I seriously doubt it's the crap-shoot you propose.
