Thanks posters.  IFN could refi with only $A loans at a lower rate and either save a bucket of cash or fund their many projects for the same $ cost.

There are several shovel-ready projects that (I speculate) are eligible for CEFC financing, which would be at even cheaper interest than the banks.

Batteries are getting much closer, with eg Tesla halving the cost of their powerwall for consumers.

The economics of attaching batteries to windfarms is compelling.   Solar electricity production is highly predictable (look out the window) and the renewable that compliments it will be the big revenue spinner. A windfarm that can shift even 4 hours of output a day could double its take.  This is imminent.

This business will look very different in a year's time.
