Interest rates are on the rise for many many years due to inflation and rising debt levels. Gold during the 70's and 80's soared despite rising interest rates. Having said this, we are due for a normal correction in a falling bond market. This may well last into next year. Companies should be using this to lock in rates for many years. The sentiment may at last be changing for us looking at the depth of the sell orders this morning.
