I was in China once and saw a heap of women in rice paddy hats loading Komatsu WA420 buckets with woks full of rocks.
That seemed to be a prettu economic way of working.

They clearly can not manage machinery either fleet or processing.
Fleet change out is planned in advance.

Management with proper hands on experience of machinery management, that also understand mining and money, were doing a far better job.

In the end not only shareholders have suffered but so have the local communities that such projects are supposed to benefit.
