"China is set to start producing at two new graphite mines"

Sounds great for the sector...Who would commission two new mines even at a local level if there is an oversupply issue?

What are the details? Flake sizes, purity, planned TPA?

There are reports China is looking to decommission some of their own graphite mines due to environmental concerns so any new mines are against the flow.

I think with an emerging middle class, growing wages and environmental concerns there is clearly a push for 'the one belt one road' strategy to help offset these hurdles.

The world is going to see China shift from being predominantly an exporter to also an importer, a sign of their emerging wealth.

China will try to take stakes in companies and secure offtakes with emerging projects in competitive jurisdictions to balance the costs of an emerging middle class and prosperity.

They can't remain the coal miners forever and have a huge middle class..Places like Mozambique will inevitably fill these gaps in the coming decades.

I don't know what's in store for SYR in the next 5 years or who will own it but I'm confident the facilities and minerals won't be going to waste.
