Good to have the permit finally in hand, though I note from the announcement and the visuals, that a lot of development has already occurred, which I am hoping means that the March Q production will be ok and the June will indeed see a step change in production (closer to 20k per Quarter).





As until now, the permitting only allowed development ore.... which as above has clearly been ongoing since Dec.

From the Dec Q - they had basically already established the drill sites for Roswell U/G, yet to me it looks like a lot more development has occurred than that.



Though I think the market still wants more clarity on what to expect in the coming quarters, particularly in relation to whether they are going to delay the road diversion etc.

To say this announcement was not price sensitive, is crazy, as the company is clearly saying.... with this, they would not have met guidance.....


Slightly off topic, but another gold stock, SPR was able to undertake a very impressive capital raising.... what is the relevance you ask?
Well, they not only raised $80m from instos, but underwrote $$11m rights issue, whilst also facilitating a $33m sell down a stale shareholder (6% of the company), basically a $113m capital raising at a 10% discount. The past MDs shareholding is indeed a tricky anchor weighing on ALK, but I am not saying it's all negative, more just that, in the future ALK could take a leaf from SPR... if he ever wants to sell a major part of his holding.
