Now let's see if Roswell ramp up goes according to plan and if ALK meets their production guidance.

Clearly they mean to drill further in the area and prove more resources for TGOE. Drilling from UG is cheaper when targeting deeper zones. And this is what they need to do now to prove TGO LOM will be well above 2040. It smooths down the hedge-book to a point.

Note to everyone - when calculating how bad the hedge-book is please take in consideration that only retail investors pay the spot price when buying gold from gold dealers. Miners would normally sell well below that price. For example when spot price was $3750aud the Aus gold miners were probably selling their unhedged production at around $3450.
This is rough estimate but much closer to the real price of what miners would be getting instead of the very top price we see on our live charts. Today spot price is $3650 and miners will probably take around $3300 per ounce. Still well above the $2800 where ALK's hedge-book is but not as bad as many think.

Pleased to say that I do think there are ways to undertake a raising even with his large holding (my example was hopefully a case in point, where he would not participate, but instead sell part of his holdings whilst a raising occurred). To be clear, I don't want a raising! Nor do I see the need for one, just discussing how IG does have options available to him, which... to date he has not taken up.

As you discuss, ALK clearly see a lot more upside to Roswell (I hope they are right!) as when I look across this schematic, all I see is multiple sources of U/G ore. Though yourself and others have followed ALK for longer will know if there is anything to my speculation.

2040 is bloody bold, but... not unreasonable considering how much longer they have already extended the initial mine plan.

As for the hedge and spot prices, my understanding is that the miners do get very close to spot price, at least when I compare to quarterly production reports and average sale prices. A topic I might dig into another day.

Tough day for the spot price, but.... that is the joys of investing in this sector.
