I did some googling and it's the same director as Viatek (Edward Stephen Watts) who have been on a strong acquisition trail. Looks like they were quietly trying to build a stake in a separately owned company. Could be a takeover offer soon or at least a push for board representation. That's why there was the spike this afternoon.
