The fundamental problem with any after-pay style system
in an open market place is they are competing for the dregs of the debt and wealth ladder. Profits rely on leeching off the poorest most financially illiterate sector of society. T’s and C’s are incredibly convoluted and impossible to read through in the short time it takes to make a retail transaction.
Think for a minute the risk profile of someone that can’t save $200 for a pair shoes. Will they have the comprehension or discipline to service a $200 debt?
