What is interested about this process is the amount of waste it produces. Here is the simplified flow-sheet from the company website. I have marked in red the waste streams.

Waste streams consist of Silicon, Aluminium, Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphate, along with other chemicals.

Note, that LieNA targetting spodumene is only 6% Lithia (Li2O), The remainder is predominately Silica, and Aluminium oxides. No other by-product from the rest of the concentrate in. So over 90% of the original concentrate is discarded.

And what happens to other chemicals that are added during the process? How much of that is discarded.

When will the company make an announcement on mass-balancing of its process?
