my kids were in junior school when JRV actually had a gold mine - cost of production was upwards of $3000 per oz while selling price was half of that....

when my kids moved to high school, JRV sold off this mine (with 400KOz resource) to someone who quickly increased the resource size almost 5 times and the price of gold was edging up to almost $2000 per Oz...

now my kids are in Uni and I am still waiting for the royalty stream to start flowing....

looks like this is going to be one long wait for royalty from the gold side...

the Sc royalty from Canada is technically more "near term" as they have to start paying up from a certain date (at least this is what I remember of that deal now - could be wrong so please DYOR)...

All in all a long wait... imagine the people who took part in the IPO 50 years ago... this has to be the slowest kid off the blocks on the entire ASX... I am surprised it is solvent after so many years despite never having been "productive"... I (and a couple others here) have been onboard very recently - since 2006.... that is before 1:100 consolidation... next year I will complete my 10th anniversary of investing in JRV....
