I don’t understand why people expect the first hole to hit so big. I think of it like, ok the first hole is a guide for future holes and gives the company a lot of information to use on the next hole and so on.
It’s all about building a picture of what you can’t actually see below the ground. It takes analysis to work out where the mineralisation may be.
it’s like throwing a dart at a dartboard blindfolded on the first hole. As they drill more the blindfold hopefully gets lifted a little more until we perhaps find what we want.
